The cable industry has a good understanding of nonlinear distortions such as composite triple beat (CTB), composite second order (CSO), common path distortion (CPD) and cross-modulation (XMOD).  Linear distortions while certainly not new in cable networks are not as widely understood.

This week Cisco's Dan Baum presented a 2.5 hour technical seminar on IPv6.  Between the two sessions in Sacramento and the one in Stockton there were at least 45 students.  The SCTE Sierra Chapter, our members, and our guests we would sincerely like to thank Dan Baum of Cisco for the education and phenomenal reading material.

If you were not fortunate enough to attend the event Dan has donated the presentation to our membership.
