Meet Jackie Danielsson in RENO, NV June 11-12th, 2018 Print E-mail

Jackie Danielsson is the Regional Commercial Construction Manager for Comcast in California.  Jackie began her career in telecommunications in 1999 as a Customer Repair Representative.  She attributes her success to a solid foundational start in a front line position, working outages, and service delivery issues which seeded a deep passion for the industry.  Jackie held positions of increasing responsibility, through acquisitions, and in various departments, which fueled her passion to learn and work on maintaining a global view of the business.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.   
 
Jackie is currently serving as a President of the WICT Northern California Chapter.  Having held many historically male roles in business she feels a deep connection to all organizations whose mission supports diversity.   
 
To serve her passion for lifelong learning Jackie is currently working on her Global Master's in Business.

Meet Sam Chin in RENO, NV June 11-12th, 2018 Print E-mail

Sam Chin is the Director of Technical Operations in the Sacramento Valley of California. Sam joined Comcast 13 years ago, where he first held the role of Field Technician in California’s Delta Valley-Concord location.  After two years in the field, Sam was promoted to Tech Ops Supervisor where he spent the next three years leading field technicians.  He then served five years as Tech Ops Manager for Concord.  In addition to his time as Manager, he spent two months supporting the Field Traffic Controllers while their Manager was on leave.

In his current role as DTO, Sam leads a workforce of roughly 300 employees and almost 500k subscribers.
 
Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Chico, where he studied Communication Design with an option in Information & Communication Systems.  He is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix.

Meet Matt Lee in RENO, NV June 11-12th, 2018 Print E-mail

Matt Lee is currently serving the role of Sr. Director of Engineering for the California Region. In this role, Matt is focused on video operations, capacity management and the California Virtual Team which spans the entire state gathering and troubleshooting all products served by Comcast.
            
Matt previously held the position as Sr. Director, Capacity Planning and Systems Integration for the Central Division.  He was responsible for all Capacity Budgets for CMTS, Node Splits, and VOD.  In addition, he has led the Central Division’s Systems Integration Team where new standards and processes were formed to rapidly deploy all capital related hardware. 
            
Prior to the Central Division, Matt has held many Comcast positions in Engineering for the North Central Division, Midwest Division, Michigan Region, and the Greater Baltimore Metro Counties market.  Prior to joining the Comcast family, Matt worked at Global Crossing where he helped maintain the Core IP Global Backbone. 
            
Matt is a Michigan native and holds a degree in Business and working on completing an Executive program at UC-Berkeley.  He is an active member in many organizations including Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE), Women in Cable Television (WICT), and is a multi-year mentor of Comcast’s Linked to Leadership which provides frontline employees chances to be mentored by senior leaders in the company.  He is also a graduate of Comcast’s High Tech Management Leadership (HTML)
            
He is a dedicated father of two girls who are attending college in New Jersey and Michigan.

Meet Kalpa Subramanian in RENO, NV June 11-12th, 2018 Print E-mail

Kalpa Subramanian is the Vice President of Engineering for Comcast California. In this role, Subramanian is responsible for developing the culture of the team, and creating a collaborative framework for the organization of ~300 people strong. Subramanian is responsible for setting the pace of deployment for new projects and oversees a capital budget of ~$350 Million.

Prior to this role, Subramanian served Comcast as the Senior Director of Regional Engineering at Comcast California. In this role, Subramanian was responsible for the California Engineering Network, managing >$100 Million of capital expenditure annually. Subramanian oversaw technical aspects of all deployment relating to Comcast California’s Voice, Data and Video traffic for residential and commercial subscribers.

Before this position, Subramanian led the Infrastructure and Operations team as Director of Comcast’s National Engineering and Technical Operations (NETO) group. In this position, Subramanian was responsible for deployment and maintenance of Voice and Internet products for residential and commercial subscribers. Since joining Comcast in 2008, Subramanian has made significant contributions to deploying various product suites including Universal Caller ID, IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), DOCSIS 3.0, Xfinity Home, Wi-Fi, Text Messaging, Advanced home gateways and commercial wholesale voice products.

Before joining Comcast, Subramanian served in various roles for Avaya Inc., deploying and supporting enterprise communications solutions. Under Subramanian’s leadership, Avaya established the ‘Top Five’ support model to provide global support for Avaya’s top tier of corporate customers. During her tenure at Avaya, she worked on various product suites including the Communication Manager, S8xxx series of products and Avaya Session Manager. Before joining Avaya, Subramanian served in various verticals including Healthcare Information Services, Educational Informational services and technical consulting, which gave her the opportunity to travel and live in five countries across the globe.

Subramanian earned her Bachelors in Engineering from University of Madras and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver. She is also a graduate of the Comcast Fundamentals of Leadership, class of 2010 and WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute, class of 2011. Subramanian was recently awarded the “Women to Watch” award by Rocky Mountain WICT and the “Game Changer” award by Comcast leadership. Subramanian has been a repeat presenter at the SCTE National Expo for 2012 and 2013 on the subject including remote home automation and big data manipulation.

She is a member of the Beta Gamma Phi honor society and also founder and committee member for CLEAR program (Comcast Leadership Engineering Achievements & Relationship). Recently, Subramanian was awarded “40 under 40” by Diablo Magazine. Subramanian has a patent issued by the USPTO for “Registration for SIP endpoints”. Subramanian, her husband, daughter and golden retriever live in Dublin, California.
